29th Annual Celebration of Lights Christmas Parade, Dec. 7
Set for Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Downtown Albany, the 29th Annual Celebration of Lights Christmas Parade will bring Albany’s Christmas spirit to life. Join the Albany community in welcoming the season and starting your happy holidays off right.
A Christmas Village will accompany the parade from 4 to 9 p.m. There you can shop for everything from culinary delights to handmade arts and crafts!

Operation Santa Paws Trail Run, Dec. 8
The first annual Operation Santa Paws Trail Run is a fun run for a cause. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Albany Humane Society. Runners can choose from a four-mile trail run course or a one-mile dog jog with his or her furever friend.
Operation Santa Paws Trail Run will be on Sunday, Dec. 8 in Downtown Albany.
John Berry’s Christmas Show, Dec. 13
Have yourself a merry little Christmas show with John Berry. Enjoy and sing along with John as his strong country vocals and musical stylings encapsulate the feeling of Christmas. His show is set for Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Albany Municipal Auditorium.
Hansel and Gretel – Peppermint Pops, Dec. 14
Relive your childhood with a musical rendition of the classic Brothers Grimm tale of Hansel and Gretel. Performed by the Albany Symphony, this theatrical retelling will feature singers, dancers, and a full orchestra.
Join the symphony on Albany State University’s West Campus. A special matinee and instrumental petting zoo will be held on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The full evening concert will start at 7:30 p.m. that night and end at 9.
Jingle Bell Jog 2019, Dec. 14
Jingle and jog all the way through the beautiful Rawson Circle neighborhood. Celebrating its 31st year, Jingle Bell Jog 2019 boasts three unique courses for trekkers to enjoy: a 5K run/walk, a 10K run, and a one-mile fun jog.
Proceeds from the races will support the Children’s Miracle Network, an organization which helps serve children in need in the community. The Tift Park Community Market will also set up shop for runners to finish up their Christmas wish lists.
The Jingle Bell Jog will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 8 a.m. at Tift Park.
A Night to Remember Christmas Celebration in Albany, Dec. 14
Rounding off our list of holiday events happening in Albany, Georgia is a night you won’t soon forget. Don your Christmas sweaters, and get ready to eat hearty and party. This community-wide celebration will feature food, music, friends, and festive fun!
