The History of Albany Technical College
Albany Technical College sure has grown! It started off with 175 students in 1961. Then, though, people knew it as the Monroe Area Vocational-Technical School. After that, in 1972, its numbers grew when it merged with the Albany Area Vocational-Technical School.
More change came in 2000, when it first included Associate’s Degrees in its curriculum. Now, the college teaches around 3,000 full-time students and 2,500 part-time students. Will you join their ranks?
