You’ve come to the right place when you visit the Piggly Wiggly Food for Less in Albany. It will offer a bakery and a deli, as well as quality fruits and veggies.
And, fun fact: you might already be familiar with the location! It used to be the former Harvey’s Grocery store. After a lot of TLC and hard work, though, it will soon turn into a brand-new spot to shop.
The new Piggly Wiggly Food for Less brings a whole host of benefits with it. They include:
- Affordable and fresh food;
- Tax dollars and money spent locally to create a space for the store;
- An overall boost for our local economy; and
- 75 new jobs.
Speaking of jobs—and the 75 new ones Piggly Wiggly Food for Less in Albany has created—let’s talk about them. The grocery store held a job fair in October, hoping to find folks to join their store. This list includes titles like:
- Cake Decorator
- Deli clerk;
- IT Business Analyst;
- Warehouse Worker; and
- Department Manager.
At the moment, no official opening date has been announced. However, the grocery store is slated to welcome customers this month. When it officially opens, come find it at 1032 W. Gordon Ave.
